University of Wolverhampton - 2008 GET REAL English and GET REAL Spanish

As part of an EU Leonardo Project, jonMoat produced English and Spanish DVD-ROMs for real estate agents. We were also involved with content creation and produced the textbook for the taught element of the course.

A subscription service for 7 to 12 year-olds learning English vocabulary. WORDREADY presents, practises and revises vocabulary over a period of time, and adapts to each individual learner's performance.

British Council - 2003 IELTS self-study CD-ROMs Academic, General Training & Video Discs

Separate discs were developed for the IELTS Academic and General training exams. Each disc contains topic-based graded practice for learners, exam techniques and tips, introduction to and practice of all exam exercise types and coverage of all four skills papers (reading, listening, writing & speaking). The video disc features four full-length exam style interviews with real IELTS students and experienced examiners.

British Council - 2000 Young Learner Classroom & Self-study Discs

Complementary discs were developed for use with young learners in British Council classrooms and self-access centres worldwide. Each disc contains a mixture of motivational interactive activities and fun games based on 9 topic areas. Learners are supported in their learning by a friendly alien called Kodi, who provides instructions, hints and feedback using both speech and fun animations.

British Council - 1998 Placement Test - for use with Ericsson Moscow

An existing placement test was converted to an electronic medium. Elements of interest were the animated demonstrations, the time-locked tests and storage of learner results on a central networked computer which also allowed for statistical analysis of all answers. All instructions were delivered in both Russian and English.

British Council - 1997 Network English 2 Elementary - Advanced (5 Levels)

An engaging five-level series of multimedia materials designed to provide supplementary practice for adult EFL students in British Council teaching centres worldwide. Each disc is made up of four sections Words, Grammar, Skills and Stories. The Words and Grammar sections contain a variety of exercises utilising text, audio and illustrations. In Skills and Stories, exercises are embedded in an innovative mixture of blue-screen video and 3D environments.

The directors of jonMoat previously worked as Project Manager and Project Co-ordinator for the British Council’s CD-ROM Project, from 1996 to 2004. They are also co-founders and directors of L2, an e-learning publishing company producing interactive multimedia for language learning (from 2004 to the present day).
